Community Posting Guidelines

Here on the LINE online, Cooper Power Systems representatives value the commentary our readership provides to the articles published by our authors. We encourage open and insightful dialogue that brings new ideas to light for the electrical power industry.

Using the guidelines below we strive to improve this communication and provide readers with the criteria we use to moderate the conversations. We will take these guidelines along with the context the comments were written into consideration during our moderation process.

This community is as much our readers as it is Cooper Power Systems; therefore, we encourage you to provide your thoughts to these comments as well as ways to improve the community by contacting us.

  1. You can help make this community better, by self-policing and helping to direct conversations in a positive direction. Cooper Power Systems ultimately has the right to remove comments or threads, but we encourage readers to take ownership, and make the community a useful tool for the industry.
  2. We will remove content that may cause legal issues, including content that is defamatory or potentially breaches copyright laws.
  3. Personal attacks on authors or other readers will not be permitted. We encourage intelligent conversation that leads to positive idea sharing.
  4. Hate speech, threats, and vulgarity will not be permitted. Please keep your writing clean and focused on the article content or similar ideas. Racism, sexism, homophobia, and other negative speech will not be tolerated.
  5. No spam. Advertising is not allowed in comments and will be removed.
  6. No smear tactics. Repeated negative criticism of authors, articles, or readers will be removed from threads.

Moderation Approach

Cooper Power Systems will, when necessary, remove user postings.
If a post is made that breaches the guidelines, then it will be removed. We will not edit comments posted to the site; we will only remove them, to maintain the quality of dialogue sharing that we expect from each other.

Cooper Power Systems reserves the right to implement additional guidelines and procedures that benefit the reader-base.
We are ultimately responsible for all content that appears on this site; therefore, we may adjust these guidelines and moderation rules as needed. Additionally, all actions and moderation decisions will be in the best interest of Cooper Power Systems and our customers, so that all readers can enjoy quality articles and engaging dialogue.

Thank you to The Guardian and Mashable who inspired these guidelines.
